Contractor fined $20,000 for illegal construction of shorewall on Lake Ontario

A local contracting firm has been fined $20,000, plus a 25 per cent Victim Fine Surcharge as a result of charges laid by Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority (CLOCA) under the Conservation Authorities Act. 11281216 Canada Inc. pleaded guilty to two counts related to the unauthorized construction of a stone revetment shorewall along the Lake Ontario Shoreline in the City of Oshawa.
